Welcome Aboard Director of Nurses Paula Basham!

Please help me to welcome Paula Basham to the River Haven family. Paula comes to us with a plethora of experience, family values, and philosophy beyond her years (I’ll explain). You could say that nursing was in her DNA makeup with both her mother and grandmother taking on the responsibility to service as Nursing Heroes. With 30 years of nursing under her belt, Paula worked in hospitals, ER’s, hospice, and 15 current consecutive years in long term care.

On a personal note. We love the fact that she is a family-oriented woman born and raised in Metropolis, IL her entire life. Married to Joe (retired police officer) with 7 children, 5 grown adult boys, 1 bonus daughter, 1 bonus son, 4 beautiful daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren. WOW!!!! She is an adventurous soul who thrives on the outdoors (camping and riding horses), spending time with the family, and her work. Her goal is simple; take care of people… and run the day and not let the day run her! Amen.
