Short-Term Success Story

Following my sister’s traumatic brain injury, the doctors told me that we had to find Rebecca a nursing and rehabilitation center. I had personally been told some horrible things about River Haven and initially said that I would absolutely not let her go there, but after asking tons of questions, I changed my mind and chose River Haven. We were scared and anxious at the same time, but upon arriving at River Haven the staff made my sister feel right at home. They not only took time to explain everything to me, but made sure that I was introduced to everyone and that felt secure in the decision I had made. The staff, nurses, and CNA’s truly love the residents, they don’t just talk the talk but they walk the walk. The therapy team is nothing short of GREAT! If you can find a team that loves and works with their patients any harder than River Haven, I would love to see it. When my sister first admitted she was barely talking, couldn’t write, couldn’t eat by herself and couldn’t walk. After 6 short months they have my sister doing it all. As you can tell I think the world of River Haven and their staff and I would recommend them to anyone! – Shane B.
