A Letter from the Administrator

Dear Reader,

December was a wonderful month filled with joy, love, and caring hearts. We participated in the Paducah Lighted Christmas Parade which included a van filled with residents from our community and a lighted trailer filled with friends and family. They had a wonderful time seeing all the children collecting candy from our float and singing Christmas carols. You can’t have Christmas without Santa Clause! Santa showered us with gifts, took pictures with us, and sang along during our celebration. We even had several local establishments gift us with donations and discounts allowing us to provide 20 of our residents with brand new comforters for their beds. We were ecstatic about the outpouring of generosity shown to us. It was a blessing.

One of my most fond memories from this holiday season was watching the residents open their presents. You may never truly know how an individual feels in long-term care about being away from their loved ones, but when you get the opportunity to watch an entire community gather and open gifts together. Ahhh. You will shed a tear. The outpouring of appreciation is unfathomable. While I sit here and reflect on these precious moments I am filled with pure happiness and a sincere heartfelt adoration at the privileged we have to care for those who are vulnerable and in need of skilled care. We truly are the lucky ones… we get what we give tenfold.

As always, thank you for entrusting us to care for your loved one.
