Letter from the Administrator

River Haven nursing and rehab administrator at her desk

River Haven has been hard at work getting everything prepared for summer. We are still staying Covid-FREE, wearing our masks, and keeping our residents safe. That’s always our number one concern. However, summer is a great time for our residents. They get to enjoy the sun and get some well needed vitamin D. Last month we did an outdoor parade and it was a huge success. We have several outdoor activities planned and we’re excited. We are working on doing a virtual walk with the Alzheimer’s association and we hope that you’ll come join us like you did with our parade. We were hoping to have an open house come this August or September, but we keep pushing it back due to the Covid restrictions.

I bet not everyone knows but we love to volunteer. Our Marketer, Teresa Belt, is involved in PAMHAC (Purchase Area Mental Health Aging Coalition), Elder Abuse Committee, American Red Cross Volunteer for the Disaster Team, Rotary Club, and RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) board member through the McCracken and Paducah Senior Citizens Center. As you can see, she stays super busy volunteering her time and spreading River Haven love throughout our community.

If there is a charity, event, or fundraisers that you would consider parenting on please call Teresa at 270-519-9734. We love to collaborate on community events and hope that you will keep us abreast of any upcoming news.

We are super proud of the many changes that River Haven has been working on to keep our community fresh (landscaping, painting, etc.). We invite you to join us once we are past this unprecedented pandemic for some real time family love. Just like you, our family can’t wait to embrace with a hug, give a cheeky kiss, and hold hands with their loved ones. Please keep us in your prayers for everyone is ready for a break from Covid-19.
